Escrow

A neutral third-party service that holds payment until the domain transfers, then releases funds to the seller. The standard for any meaningful domain transaction.

Why escrow matters

Domains are intangible — once a buyer wires funds, they have no leverage if the seller delays the transfer. Escrow inverts that: the buyer pays into the escrow, the seller initiates the transfer, the escrow verifies receipt in the buyer’s account, and only then are funds released.
